A Romantic Royal Wedding.

Image
What a fabulous day when Great Britain does what it does best, pomp, pagentry and splendour. The whole country ground to a halt this morning and watched the spectical and they weren't disappointed. A stunning bride marries a handsome Prince, the stuff of fairytales right in our own capital city and joined by millions across the world. The whole event went without a hitch and even the sun came out. I feel really proud to be part of this amazing country. The bride looked so regal and composed and has to be an very special young lady to take on such a role. I loved her dress and the beautiful simple bouquet of Lily of the Valley and Myrtle. The Myrtle comes from a cutting taken and grown from Queen Victorias wedding bouquet and I believe the Lily of the Valley  was grown in Cornwall. After a quiet morning now the party has started in parks and gardens and in the streets.                                                        Lots of fun stalls.

Cut up and recycled wedding dress.

Hi everyone, I've been cutting and crinkling and dying, my hand are a strange colour but I've had a great time. It all started with a wedding dress that I bought from a charity shop. I don't have a picture I was so excited to start cutting!!! There were yards of dupion silk which was dirty and had coffee stains down it. It's been washed and hand dyed and you can buy some in my Etsy Shop. There are fabric packs and some pretty ribbons, pop over and look in my shop for a closer look. I'll be listing more tomorrow. xox Angela.

New items gone into my Etsy shop.

Hi all, I've just put theses pretty rabbits in my Etsy Shop.                                             They are hoping for a new home this Easter. I also want to find a comfortable corner for Tilly, Little Miss Prim. She works so hard that she deserves a nice holiday. Lastly you can also find this lovely little Pointe Shoe covered in Velvet millinery flowers and a bead fringe. Hope you like them. Have a great day, xox Angela.

Romantic Devon.

I love to walk by the sea and in the countryside in our beautiful county. Living in a tourist area there are lots of people around when I walk but sometimes,  it's solitude I need and on Saturday I found just that. The Dartmoor National Park stretches over the centre of Devon and has some breathtaking scenery.                                                Miles and miles of moorland.                                        Distant views of the sea.                                       Granite outcrops.                                                                    Old tracks                                              and pretty Dartmoor ponies. This too can be a busy place but today was one of those rare days when the sun was shining, the Skylarks were singing as they soared upwards and I walked in complete solitude. It was like a little bit of heaven. I finished my walk here, a little hidden treasure with no one around and only the sound of ... well nothing.
