Sing the Blues, fabric inspiration box.

Image
I like the idea of making up some boxes of inspiring bits and pieces,so here is the first one. I have cover an oval box with blue fabric and added some pretty embellishments. The inside is lined with vintage music pages. I have chosen different pieces of blue fabric, some coffee dyed lace and a croqueted doily. There's a tag with some of my handcut dyed silk ribbon and a fabric transfer picture. Everything to inspire you for a pretty 'Blue' project.... and little blue heart in lovely vintage style fabric to finish. Find this in my Etsy shop today. I'm off to start on a quilt for my new baby grandaughter who is arriving by Csection on the 29th of June. I'll show you the qulit when it's finished. Have a great weekend. XOX Angela.

Two more books for Quilters.

I was delighted to sell the book from my last post. Here it is carefully wrapped in a piece of vintage linen and already on it's way. The last couple of days I have been finishing two more books ready to go in my Etsy shop this evening.  I love this fabric, such soft and feminine colours. The ribbon and some of the lace have been dyed to match.                           The second book is my favourite, these colours just appeal to me.                                 You can see the inside pages if you look on my Etsy. Meanwhile I'm left with a mess, I wish I could keep tidy while I work instead of having a creative muddle.           It just gets worse the more I do. One day, I mean it , one day, I will be organised and know where everything is, I will be neat and tidy and organised. I won't lose things at the back of a cupboard, all my fabric will be neatly stacked , all my lace and ribbons will be in tidily wound. I really won't be hunting for things and

Quilters Keepsakes.

I have been making three Quilters Keepsakes books and this is the first of the trio. I love making these. You'll find it in my Etsy shop soon. This is entitled 'And sew to Quilt', it is a soft fabric book with a canvas base and lovely fabrics in shades of blue. It has a ticking spine and lots of lace trims. I have added some inspiring texts on some of the pages and pockets to hold those essential supplies.                         More pockets and pretty trims.                              Little packs of lace and hand dyed crinkled ribbon.                                The back cover has a patchwork heart. A lovely gift for a Quilter who can continue to add her own special touches to the book. Finally, I am over the moon to have been chosen to teach at the Knittng and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace in London next October. It's so exciting!! I'm finishing the other two books over the weekend so I'll show them to you soon. Have a great day, xo
